“The most worthwhile thing is to
try to put happiness into the lives of others.”

Today is the International Day of Happiness, and I imagine many of you are more worried than happy.
It’s completely understandable; it seems difficult to find things to be happy about lately, with nearly every morsel of good news outweighed by negative broadcasts.
But what is happiness, anyway? Is it dependent on the news and current events? Times like these, we start searching a little deeper for the joy we’re so desperate for. It’s a good kind of search, really — we get to narrow down what’s meaningful, acknowledge what we’ve taken for granted, and think of everything we're grateful for.
As a mother, I find happiness in seeing my children grow, learn, and thrive.
As a formulator, I find happiness in creating makeup that cares for skin.
As your friend, I find happiness in your messages of confidence; in learning that somehow, I have inspired you to do more for yourself and for the people around you.
Worry is temporary. What won’t change is our ability to do and be more for others; as long we continue helping others thrive, happiness is never far away.
For now, let’s focus on the things we can control.
Let’s continue to love, inspire, radiate warmth, and empower each other.
If you are one of those who are struggling to cope with the quarantine situation, please don’t hesitate to reach out. The Ellana family is your family, too.
You are not alone. ♥
