💓💓 How has your self-expression helped others? ✋✋

Yesterday was the 122nd year of Philippine independence; our ancestors fought bravely so that future generations could do and be more, and I believe the best way to celebrate it is to keep that flame of radiance, inspiration, and self-expression burning every single day!

“For to be free is not merely to cast off one's chains, but to live in a way that respects and enhances the freedom of others.”
– Nelson Mandela

Here’s one more thing that’s just as important:
Using that spark to help light the path for everyone else around you.

I’m sure many of you pray for tolerance and world peace, for love and understanding. I definitely do! However, these things aren’t going to happen on their own. Remember that Mulan quote I mentioned before? “A single grain of rice can tip the scale,” said the emperor. But somebody needs to put that grain onto the scale first!

At Ellana, this translates to helping people shine in their own unique ways.

We’re a diverse family of over 220 individuals, with varying backgrounds, gender expressions, beliefs, and interests. Everyone is encouraged to break out of the box, find their own voice, and use that voice to amplify the causes they care about. And we make it a point to be present for those still finding their footing, as well as those already breaking barriers and paving the way for others to grow!

After all, if we’ve got the freedom to do and be more, then it’s just right that we make sure everyone else has the same freedom, too.

But enough about us — we want to hear from YOU! How do you practice self-expression, and what are the causes you dedicate your voice to?

Love,
